You all know and love the original 5.5 Flat Leash, so we’ve improved upon our first version to bring you the 5.5 Flat Leash V2. Just like V1, Wilde American’s 5.5 Flat Leash V2 comes with custom stitching near the clip, reinforcing the top of the leash and adding extra durability. For this version, we added a bear clip and a D-ring for attaching our Switchback Safety Line.

The main differences between the V1 and V2 of the 5.5 Flat Leash are the clip design and safety features. V2 has an improved clip design for better grip and an added D-ring for increased safety if used with The Switchback Safety Line, preventing your dog from becoming unleashed due to pinch collar failure. These enhancements to V2 address client feedback and improve overall functionality and security.

The new clip design has improved grip and security, ensuring that your hands don’t slip off the bolt. This change is possible because the clips are made in Connecticut, allowing for precise customization. Using items sourced in the USA means we can continue to improve our products.

Our V2 Flat Leash introduces a D-ring designed to address a common issue with pinch collars, specifically Sprenger-style pinch collars. Over time, these collars can fail and pop off as the links wear out. The added D-ring allows a user to hook the leash directly to a Switchback Safety Line and the dog's backup collar, significantly reducing the risk of the dog becoming unleashed if the pinch collar fails.
