The Holdfast Martingale is a dependable cinching collar built from durable BioThane® with a stainless-steel chain for smooth, consistent action. It tightens when the handler applies leash pressure and releases immediately when the pressure is removed—providing clear communication and greater security with more versatility than a fixed circumference flat collar.

BioThane® is waterproof, easy to clean, and built to handle daily training, muddy trails, wet dogs, and real work. The stainless-steel hardware adds strength and durability while maintaining a clean, classic look.

Really works great - though I wish the leash was a bit thicker

Really works great - though I wish the leash was a bit thicker as I am using this to walk BIG dogs at a rescue center where I volunteer. The thin nature of the rope can cut a bit into my hands. Many of the dogs don't have collars so the versatility is extremely handy to either clip if they do or "noose" them if they don't. Thanks - Dave Wilk

Amazing quality, customer service, overall my favorite leash in my gear bag which I honestly did not expect! I recommend these to all of my clients, I find it the perfect length, size, and texture for outings in public settings like farmers markets, dog friendly stores, etc. wasn’t sure how I would feel about the texture but after it arrived I was hooked- obsessed! Don't underestimate this leash!!

Prior to purchasing, I couldn't imagine how a leash of this size could be useful. Now that I have it, I am not sure how we lived without it for so long!

Beyond being such a powerful and useful tool in so many ways, it is immediately obvious that the quality of this leash is beyond that of every leash I have previously owned. Not to mention it is so easy to clean and keep looking awesome. We plan on replacing all of our leashes with Wilde American products going forward.
